Design with Intention: The Story Behind UMBER

Creating spaces that reflect who you are — with purpose, calm, and authenticity.
Some projects begin on paper.
Ours began around a family table — with two sisters-in-law, many conversations, and a shared love for creating spaces that feel grounded and alive.

That’s how UMBER was born: from the desire to design homes that go beyond aesthetics. Homes that speak softly, that hold calm, and that tell the story of the people who live in them.
We’ve always believed that design has the power to shape emotions. The light that filters through a window, the texture of a fabric, the balance between empty and full — every element can change how a space feels. That belief became our compass: to design with purpose, with warmth, and with empathy.
At first, UMBER was simply a creative experiment — a way to bring our shared vision to life. But soon, it became something deeper: a philosophy. A reminder that good design isn’t about how much you spend, but about how much a space reflects you. Whether it’s a full renovation or a single room refresh, our goal is always the same — that quiet sense of belonging when you walk through your door and everything just feels right.
Our process is intuitive and personal. We listen before we draw, we observe before we suggest. We study how each client lives — their routines, habits, what brings them comfort — and we translate that into textures, tones, and light. We find beauty in materials that age gracefully, in spaces that breathe, in details that feel considered rather than perfect.
For us, UMBER is more than a design studio. It’s a reflection of our values: family, authenticity, and the belief that true beauty lives in simplicity.
We design with intention — because a home should do more than look beautiful. It should feel like you.
IDEA UMBER: When design begins with empathy, a house becomes more than a place to live — it becomes a place to belong.
